Oppo’s first foldable smartphone will get a design in the style of the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold

The Chinese company Oppo is preparing to release its first smartphone with a foldable design. Information about the characteristics of this device was at the disposal of network sources.



It is claimed that the device will be made in the style of the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold, which means it will be able to transform into a tablet. The gadget is credited with having a flexible OLED display measuring 7.8 to 8.0 inches diagonally. A panel with 2K + resolution and up to 120Hz refresh rate will be applied.

It is said about the presence of a multi-module camera with a 50-megapixel main sensor Sony IMX766. The front camera will receive a 32-megapixel sensor. A fingerprint scanner will be located in the side of the case.

The silicon “brain” will be the Qualcomm Snapdragon 888 processor. This solution contains eight processing cores with a clock speed of up to 2.84 GHz, an Adreno 660 graphics accelerator and a Snapdragon X60 5G modem with data transfer rates up to 7.5 Gbps.

Finally, it is known that the new product will be delivered with the operating system ColorOS 12 based on Android 11. The official presentation may take place at the end of this year or early next year.
