Oppo Watch 3 with ECG function will debut on August 10th

Chinese company Oppo has released teasers revealing the date of presentation of smart watches Watch 3: the gadget will debut on Wednesday next week – August 10.

As previously reported, the device will be based on the latest Snapdragon W5 Gen 1 hardware platform developed by Qualcomm. The processor architecture provides for the presence of Arm Cortex-A53 and Cortex-M55 cores, a low-power Bluetooth 5.3 wireless controller, etc. Additionally, an Apollo 4 Plus companion chip will be installed.

The watch is said to be able to record an electrocardiogram (ECG), track heart rate changes and monitor blood oxygen levels.

The gadget gets a 1.91-inch AMOLED LTPO display, a GPS receiver and an NFC controller. Support for eSIM technology is mentioned to connect to cellular networks without using a traditional physical SIM card. The novelty is enclosed in a sealed case (standard 5ATM) with a rotary knob on the right side.

The battery offers up to five days of operation in normal mode and up to 15 days in sleep mode. Customers can choose between silver and black versions with different colored straps.
