Oppo has introduced a line of Reno9 smartphones, which includes three models: Reno9, Reno9 Pro and Reno9 Pro+. All new items received 6.7-inch AMOLED screens with support for a resolution of 2412 × 1080 pixels, a refresh rate of 120 Hz and a maximum brightness of 950 cd / m2.
The base model Reno9 uses the Qualcomm Snapdragon 778G chipset. The main model of Reno9 Pro is MediaTek Dimensity 8100-Max. The Reno9 Pro+ model is based on the flagship Qualcomm Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 processor whose frequencies have been reduced (from 3.2 to 3.0 GHz).
The display matrices of the new products are covered with Asahi Glass AGC DT-Star2 protective glass. The front camera with autofocus sits in a round cutout and has a resolution of 32 megapixels (f/2.4 optics). The main camera unit of the Reno9 Pro consists of a 50MP Sony IMX890 main sensor with f/1.8 optics and an 8MP wide-angle sensor with f/2.2 optics. The MariSilicon X neuroprocessor is responsible for photo and video processing algorithms. The Reno9 model has a main sensor resolution of 64 megapixels. It is equipped with f/1.7 optics. A 2-megapixel monochrome camera for calculating the depth of the scene with f/2.4 optics helps him in his work.
The Reno9 and Reno9 Pro models received 4500mAh batteries with support for 67W SuperVOOC fast charging. Other specifications include support for dual SIM, 5G, NFC, Wi-Fi 6 and Bluetooth 5.3.
The Reno9 will be available with 8GB/12GB LPDDR4x RAM and 256GB UFS2.2 storage or 12GB LPDDR5 RAM and 512GB UFS3.1 storage. Their cost is $348, $376, and $418, respectively. The device, available in China, will be available in red, black, gold and gradient colors from December 10th.
The Reno9 Pro model offers 16GB of LPDDR5 RAM and 256GB or 512GB of UFS3.1 storage, priced at $488 or $529, respectively. The novelty will be available in black, gold and gradient body colors. On sale from December 2nd.
The flagship model Reno9 Pro+ looks similar to the younger ones. The hardware platform of the smartphone is represented by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 processor with a frequency of the most productive core of 3 GHz. The amount of RAM is 16 GB (LPDDR5x). 256 or 512 GB (standard UFS 3.1) are offered as hard drives.
At the top of the screen there is a hole in the front camera, which houses a 32-megapixel Sony IMX709 sensor with autofocus. The main camera unit consists of a 50MP 1/1.56 inch Sony IMX890 sensor with optical stabilization and f/1.8 optics, an 8MP wide sensor with f/2.2 optics and a 2MP depth sensor with f/2.4 optics. Like the younger models, it uses the MariSilicon X neuroprocessor for photo and video processing. The camera can record in 4K resolution at 60 frames per second. The younger models can also record in 4K, but with up to 30 frames per second.
The Reno9 Pro+ model got a 4700mAh battery with support for 80W SuperVOOC wired fast charging and 50W wireless. The smartphone is also equipped with stereo speakers. The manufacturer specifies, among other things, Bluetooth 5.2, 5G, support for two SIM cards, Wi-Fi 6 and NFC.
Oppo has priced the 256GB Reno9 Pro+ at $488 and the 512GB version at $529. In addition to the black and gold versions, the device is offered in a green housing color. Like the Reno9 Pro model, the older version will be available from December 2nd.
