Oppo hosted a launch event today for the Reno 7 smartphones, most of which leaked online last week. The series includes three devices: the Reno 7 itself, the Reno 7 Pro and the Reno 7 SE. All three devices received a modern design with flat side edges, like the last two generations of iPhones.
The most advanced among the new products is the Oppo Reno 7 Pro. The device is based on the MediaTek Dimensity 1200 Max chipset, which can be supplemented with 8 or 12 GB of RAM. The storage capacity in both cases is 256 GB. The novelty is equipped with a 6.55-inch OLED screen with Full HD + resolution and a refresh rate of 90 Hz. The display occupies an impressive 92.8% of the front surface of the smartphone. The thickness of the smartphone is only 7.45 mm, and the weight does not exceed 180 grams. At the same time, the device is equipped with a 4500-mAh battery with support for fast 65-W charging. The smartphone boasts a powerful cooling system, two stereo speakers and an X-axis vibration motor.
One of the main advantages of the new item is its main camera. The flagship Sony IMX766 with a resolution of 50 megapixels and an aperture of f / 1.8 is used as the main sensor, which is complemented by 8-megapixel and 2-megapixel auxiliary sensors. The front camera is a 32MP IMX709 sensor, which is combined with light-sensitive optics, created in collaboration with Sony.
The Oppo Reno 7 Pro with 8GB of RAM costs $ 579, while the version with 12GB of RAM will cost $ 626.
The base model of the Oppo Reno 7 series is built on the Qualcomm Snapdragon 778G mid-range platform, and is also available with 8GB or 12GB of RAM. However, in addition to 256 GB, a 128 GB drive is also available. The smartphone is equipped with a 6.43-inch OLED screen with a refresh rate of 90 Hz and Full HD + resolution. The front camera uses the same module as the older model. But the main sensor of the main camera is not the same as that of the Reno 7 Pro. Its model is not named, but it is known that it has a resolution of 64 megapixels and an aperture of f / 1.7. The main sensor is supplemented with 8-megapixel and 2-megapixel sensors. The Reno 7 is equipped with a 4500 mAh battery. The thickness of the smartphone is 7.59 mm and its weight reaches 185 grams.
The standard bundle with 8GB of RAM and 128GB of storage costs $ 422. A device with the same amount of RAM and 256 GB of permanent memory costs $ 469. The most advanced configuration with 12GB of RAM and 256GB of storage is priced at $ 516.
The Oppo Reno 7 SE is based on the MediaTek Dimensity 900. The smartphone uses a 6.43-inch OLED matrix with Full HD + resolution and a refresh rate of 90 Hz. The main camera combines the main 48MP Sony IMX581 sensor with two 2MP sensors. A version of the device with 8 GB of RAM and 128 GB of permanent memory costs $ 344. A model with 256 GB of permanent memory will cost $ 30 more.
All new items run Android 11 with Color OS 12. Oppo Reno 7 series smartphones are expected to enter the global market soon.
