Sales of OnePlus smartphones have started again in Germany. This became possible after Nokia and Oppo signed a cross-licensing agreement covering patents on core 5G technologies. Like Oppo, OnePlus is a subsidiary of BBK Electronics Corporation. Due to a legal ban that came into force on August 5, 2023, they were forced to stop selling smartphones and smartwatches in Germany.
Legal disputes between Nokia and Oppo took place in Europe, Asia and Australia. As stated in a statement from Feng Ying, Oppo’s Director of Intellectual Property, the agreement resolves all pending litigation in all jurisdictions.
OnePlus is currently offering the OnePlus Open foldable smartphone in the country for 1,799 euros with delivery within 2-5 days. Pre-orders are also possible for the flagship smartphones OnePlus 12 and OnePlus 12R at prices starting at 949 euros, with delivery to EU countries starting in three weeks according to the delivery schedule. The new products come with 100W SuperVOOC power supplies. As a bonus, the company is giving its customers a free pair of Buds Pro 2 wireless headphones priced at 179 euros.
