OnePlus founder’s Nothing startup raises another $ 50 million and announced a partnership with Qualcomm

Nothing, a young tech company created by OnePlus co-founder Carl Pei, on Wednesday announced a partnership with Qualcomm and plans to use Snapdragon chips in its future products. Nothing also reported a $ 50 million investment to launch products in new product categories.

Given the success of Nothing’s first product, the ear (1) wireless headphones, Carl Pei believes the world is ready for a new brand to “break the existing monotony.” The company’s CEO did not say what products should be expected from Nothing in the near future, but he assured that they will follow the brand’s philosophy of providing affordable and beautiful devices. Pei said the partnership with Qualcomm will further boost Nothing’s growth.

Qualcomm, in turn, said: “By combining the power and efficiency of Snapdragon mobile platforms with 5G connectivity across many different categories of devices, we are helping to develop innovative products that are designed to benefit consumers and deliver richer and more immersive experiences.”

It is not yet known what products Nothing is preparing, but there are rumors that the company may soon release a smart watch in the original design.
