The event, dedicated to the twentieth anniversary of the comics “Unbreakable” and “The Walking Dead”, became the venue for the presentation of a short gameplay video of the fighting game Mortal Kombat 1 from Warner Bros. Games. Actor JK Simmons, who voiced Omni-Man in the animated series Unbreakable, returned to the role in Mortal Kombat 1.

The Omni-Man character first appeared in Supreme: The Story of the Year by Alan Moore and Chris Sprouse before being developed by Kirkman and artist Cory Walker. Omni-Man, the father of Mark Grayson, the protagonist of the comic series Unbreakable, is a member of the Viltrumite race and works as a superhero on planet Earth. He can be found not only in the comic series “Invulnerable”, but also in “Supreme”, “Noble Causes” and “Dynamo 5”.

Mortal Kombat 1 features Omni-Man as a DLC character that must be purchased separately. The Kombat Pack DLC also includes other famous characters from the comics: Peacemaker from Unbreakable and Homelander from The Boys. Premium and Collector’s Edition buyers will get access to the character a week earlier than others starting in November.
