NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4090 debuts on Steam Stats, AMD beats Intel

After the updated Steam Stats, the high price of the NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4090 graphics card did not deter gamers – this new product stormed into the statistics of graphics cards used by Steam users, demonstrating the second largest monthly dynamics. And another month proved successful for Windows 11, which surpassed the 30% user mark and continued its attack on Windows 10.

According to Steam, the top ten graphics cards have changed little over the past month, although it is worth noting the mobile NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3060, which showed the most active dynamics (0.44%) and took third place in terms of distribution platform. The GeForce RTX 4090 was the first of the new generation graphics cards in the main range – previously it was only present in the Vulkan systems range along with other models of the 40th series. And its 0.24% share is more than a decent number for a model with a suggested retail price of $1,600.

The GeForce RTX 3050, RTX 3060 Ti and RTX 3090 models also showed growth in the NVIDIA Ampere family. In the AMD camp, the Radeon RX 6700 XT showed the most active dynamics, although most of the “red” graphics cards are still satisfied with the lower half of the table. The GeForce GTX 1650, which last year became the successor to the GeForce GTX 1060, which topped the Steam charts back in 2018, retained the lead.

The CPU ranking was marked by an increase in AMD’s share, which reached 32.84% and almost matched last summer’s record 33.73%. Changes are occurring in the valuation of operating systems: on January 31, Microsoft stopped direct sales of Windows 10, so now its share will decrease more actively. “Old lady” Windows 7 continues to survive with a share of 0.11%.

And briefly to other areas of statistics. The most common RAM is 16GB, the most popular resolution is 1920×1080 pixels, and the most popular VR headset is the Oculus Quest 2. Nothing has changed.
