NVIDIA has officially confirmed the upcoming launch of the GeForce RTX 2060 graphics accelerator with 12 GB of video memory. The mention of the video card appeared in the description of the new version of the graphics driver – the manufacturer indicates the addition of support for the GeForce RTX 2060 model with 12 GB of memory.

It is noteworthy that there is no mention of the new video card on the company’s website yet. The official characteristics of the accelerator are still unknown.

Rumored to be based on GeForce RTX 2060 with 12 GB VRAM will use a TU106 graphics processor with 2176 CUDA cores. The exact same chip was used in the GeForce RTX 2060 Super model with 8GB of GDDR6 memory. The rest of the characteristics of the 12 GB card are also similar. The only difference is the memory bus width, which is 192 bits for the model with 12 GB GDDR6, and not 256 bits for the Super model.

The appearance of support for the GeForce RTX 2060 with 12 GB of memory in the latest version of the NVIDIA video driver also indirectly confirms the information that the accelerator may be officially presented as early as next week, presumably on December 7.
