According to the WCCFTech portal, the Nubia RedMagic 8 Pro is one of the fastest yet relatively affordable flagships out there. The novelty received the flagship Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 chipset and 12 or 16 GB of LPDDR5X RAM and 256 or 512 GB of UFS 4.0 flash memory. The smartphone received an ICE 11.0 cooling system, which has a special fan to reduce temperatures under heavy loads. The battery capacity is 6000 mAh, wired charging up to 65 W is supported.

The novelty received a 6.8-inch AMOLED display with Full HD + resolution, a screen refresh rate of 120 Hz and a sampling rate of 960 Hz. Flicker-free DC dimming is supported, and Gorilla Glass 5 protects against scratches and partial breakage during Falling off.

Gaming smartphones are often equipped with very average cameras, but RedMagic 8 Pro received a 50-megapixel main sensor Samsung ISOCELL GN5, as well as an 8-megapixel ultra-wide-angle module and a 2-megapixel macro camera. The selfie module received a 16-megapixel sensor and is hidden under the display.

RedMagic 8 Pro is made in an angular design with RGB backlighting and an aluminum frame, which is unusual for modern smartphones. There is a 3.5mm headphone jack, which may be the first Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 smartphone to feature this jack.

The RedMagic 8 Pro comes with a slightly optimized Nubia operating system based on Android 13. The 12GB RAM/256GB ROM model starts at $649, while the 16GB/512GB variant starts at $799. In other words, it’s one of the cheapest flagships out there today.
