Not long ago, rumors appeared on the Internet that the Nothing brand is preparing the official launch of a new smartphone, which is being developed under the codename A142. Now Nothing’s account on the social network X (formerly Twitter) has confirmed that the company is preparing to make an announcement.
A message appeared on Nothing’s account “Something will happen this week”. Apparently, this is the developer’s way of hinting at an upcoming announcement. Most likely it is the new smartphone Nothing Phone (2a). It is not yet known when exactly the announcement might be made.
Little is known about the features of the Nothing Phone (2a). The developers are expected to equip the device with a 6.7-inch AMOLED display, a dual main camera and a proprietary Glyph backlight. The smartphone’s name suggests that it is a cheaper version of the Nothing Phone (2), which currently costs around $600. At the moment there is no detailed information about the new Nothing, but that will probably change in the near future.
