HMD Global has introduced an affordable smartphone Nokia C12 with Android 12 Go Edition. The novelty has only two cameras and is equipped with a 6.3-inch LCD display with HD+ resolution, quite compact by modern standards, protected from damage by tempered glass.

The dimensions of the smartphone in a polycarbonate shell are 160.6 × 74.3 × 8.75 mm, weight – 177.4 g. For comparison, the previous model Nokia C10 with a 6.52-inch display has dimensions of 169.9 × 77.9 × 8.8 mm and a weight of 191 gr.
The Nokia C12 is based on a 28nm octa-core Unisoc SC9863A1 chip clocked at up to 1.6GHz and PowerVR IMG 8322 GPU memory. The storage capacity of the eMMC 5.1 is 64 GB (no microSD card slot).
On the back is an 8-megapixel camera with autofocus and LED flash. The resolution of the front camera is 5 megapixels. Both cameras support night and portrait mode.
Nokia C12 specs also include Wi-Fi b/g/n and Bluetooth 5.2 wireless adapters, a micro USB port and a 3.5mm headphone jack. To protect against moisture and dust, the smartphone meets the IP52 standard. Case color – green, dark blue and black.
HMD promises to release quarterly security updates for the smartphone for 2 years. The Nokia C12 will soon be available in Germany and Austria for 120 euros, after which it will be launched in other countries.
