Noctua plans for 2022: 120 mm dual tower cooler, white fans and new generation NH-D15

Austrian cooling manufacturer Noctua has released a new roadmap for its upcoming products, which it plans to release later in 2022. At least three innovations in it can really interest fans of the brand: a new dual-tower cooling system with 120 mm fans, white fans and a new generation of NH-D15 cooler.

According to the chronological order of the roadmap, the company will release a “dual tower” cooling system with one or two (number not specified) 120mm fans in the first quarter of this year. This puts the novelty somewhere between the NH-D9L models with 92mm fans and the NH-D15 models with 140mm fans. It can be assumed that the novelty will be more efficient than the single-tower model NH-U12S, which is equipped with a 120mm fan.

In the third quarter, the company will release a new generation of 140mm fans, as well as new coolers for Intel Xeon processors.

For the fourth quarter, the manufacturer has planned the release of a new processor cooler generation NH-D15. The original version of this cooling system was released back in April 2014 and was based on the “vintage” NH-D14 model from 2009. Noctua last updated the NH-D15 cooler in October 2019 with the release of chromax.black. The company showed the upcoming version at Computex 2019. It was originally planned to go on sale in the first quarter of 2020. What explains such a long delay in release is unknown.

At the same Computex 2019 fair, the company also showed white fans. They should go on sale in the second quarter of 2020. Since Noctua has long been reluctant to choose the color of its cooling systems, many fans have been waiting for a new addition to the manufacturer’s chromax series. However, instead of all-white fans, the company has only released white NA-HC4 overlays for the NH-D15 radiator so far.
