Publisher and developer Nintendo as part of the September Nintendo Direct uncovered the title and exact release date of the open-world action-adventure sequel The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild.
Recall that until recently, the untitled sequel to The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild was announced as part of E3 2019, and due to the March postponement, it was expected to release in Spring 2023.
As has been announced, the sequel to Breath of the Wild is called The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom and is scheduled to be released exclusively on the Nintendo Switch on May 12, 2023.
In addition to the title and release date, the 1.5-minute trailer for The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom, timed to coincide with the announcement, shows gameplay clips with new features.
The events of Tears of the Kingdom will not only take place on Earth, but also in the skies across the vast Hyrule. At the same time, expanding the world will not be limited to size: they promise new collisions and gameplay elements.
