New Witchers, sequel to Cyberpunk 2077 and a game based on its own franchise: CD Projekt shared grandiose plans

The Polish company CD Projekt Approved the development of several games at the same time based on their intellectual property and also shared the details of the already announced numbered The Witcher.

Recall that The Witcher debuted with the next number in March and has since managed to move into pre-production. The game is created on the Unreal Engine 5. More than 150 CD Projekt RED employees are involved in the project.

It has been revealed that the new The Witcher, codenamed Polaris, is an open-world role-playing game that will mark the beginning of the trilogy. All three titles are scheduled to be released within six years of Polaris’ release.

Two other games within The Witcher are being edited by third-party studios: A team of veterans of the franchise has taken on a single-player open-world story RPG codenamed Canis Majoris. The chosen engine is Unreal Engine 5.

Boston’s The Molasses Flood is in pre-production “innovative look” into the universe “an unforgettable story”. The codename for the project is Sirius. Designed for a wider audience and includes multiplayer.

As for Cyberpunk 2077, in addition to the story expansion Phantom Liberty (the final phase, a team of more than 350 people), CD Projekt RED is itself also working on Orion (also a codename) – the next game in the series.

Additionally, CD Projekt has unveiled Hadar (another codename), a CD Projekt RED game based on an all-new franchise from the studio itself. Development has not started yet: the team is working on the universe.

Finally, thanks to the wide possibilities of Unreal Engine 5 “majority” Future CD Projekt games will include a multiplayer component. There will be no less single-user content.
