Developers from the Polish studio CD Projekt RED reported about the release of the second full patch for an improved version of his fantasy RPG action film The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt.

Released today, March 13, update 4.02 aims to improve the overall stability and performance of The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt on all target platforms and fix a number of bugs.
Added a motion blur setting on PC, PS5, Xbox Series X and S, implemented ray tracing reflections and refraction for screen reflections, and fixed black artifacts on brick textures.

The PC-specific version improved CPU usage when gaming with DirectX 12, fixed HBAO shading, Particle Optimization stuttering, and landscape flickering in Toussaint when NVIDIA HairWorks was off.
Improved performance mode on consoles, fixed character blurring on PS5, fixed crashes and performance issues in Beauclair and Novigrad after loading a save.

Among other things, the update fixes a number of bugs in tasks and gameplay and also corrects Chinese, Korean and Arabic localizations. For the full list of changes see official website of The Witcher.
An enhanced version of The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt was released on December 14th, 2022 on PC, PS5, Xbox Series X and S. Owners of the original game on PS4 and Xbox One also received the latest patch.
