Publisher Tripwire Interactive and developer by Canadian studio Torn Banner reported on the release of House Aberfell’s content update for their online medieval action game Chivalry 2.
One of the most important new features was the 64-person Raid of Aberfell map in Team Target mode. The attackers must destroy the village, destroy the obelisks, and wipe the heretical druid from the face of the earth, and the defenders must prevent this.
The update also added the ability to play as druids (the last line of defense), steal pigs and pawns (they are carried away from the battlefield on their shoulders), and use beehives as a bomb thrower.
Among other things, House Aberfell Chivalry 2 adds a highlander two-handed sword and additional character customization items (appearance, voice, armor, weapon skins).
The House Aberfell update is now available for download on all Chivalry 2 target platforms – PC (Epic Games Store), PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X and Xbox Series S.
Torn Banner Studios CEO and Creative Lead Steve Piggott thanked the Chivalry 2 audience for supporting the game and promised that the studio will continue to expand on the project this year.
Chivalry 2 debuted on June 8, 2021 and has sold over 1 million copies worldwide in just over two months. To celebrate the release of House Aberfell on PC and consoles, the game is available at a 33% discount.
