Ray Tracing: Overdrive, in particular, offers more accurate RT lighting and shadows thanks to RTX Direct Illumination technology, better indirect lighting, and ray-traced reflections (now in full resolution).

In addition to ray tracing improvements, this Cyberpunk 2077 update will include support for NVIDIA DLSS 3 Smart Scaling, which will help GeForce RTX 4000 graphics card owners cope with the increased demands on their PC.

“At CD Projekt RED, we pride ourselves on being technological innovators, and DLSS 3 delivers significant performance gains to handle the addition of more advanced ray tracing to deliver a visually rich experience for our players.”— said the artistic director of the studio Jakub Knapik (Jakub Knapik).

The timing of the addition of Ray Tracing: Overdrive and DLSS 3 modes in Cyberpunk 2077 has not been announced, but NVIDIA assures it won’t be long and encourages you to follow the news on its blog.
