New Bing search engine with Chatbot ChatGPT likes 71% of users

Microsoft has shared the first findings from a week-long test of the Bing search engine with the chatbot ChatGPT, which is based on an Open AI neural network. For several days, users from 169 countries around the world could interact with the updated search engine. As a result, Tester Admission found search results 71% of the time.

Microsoft said in a statement that AI-enhanced search queries will deepen the user experience with Bing. It is noted that people are not only using the new Bing to search for specific information, but also “a more general knowledge of the world and social entertainment”.

Recall that not so long ago Microsoft started testing a new version of the Bing search engine that integrates the advanced chatbot ChatGPT. This algorithm is developed by Open AI, which Microsoft has supported for a number of years. In 2019, the software giant invested $1 billion in the startup and this year announced its intention to invest another $10 billion over several years. This gives Microsoft the ability to use modified versions of Open AI language models in its products, which become the basis for creating generative neural networks.

Despite ChatGPT’s high popularity, Microsoft believes that the algorithm is far from perfect. The developers intend to improve the chatbot’s capabilities where its responses require a high level of accuracy. Currently, the chatbot isn’t very good at long conversations where the user asks it more than 15 questions. In addition, ChatGPT often makes mistakes and sometimes even behaves aggressively.
