MSI updates Creator, Prestige, Summit and Modern laptops with Intel Raptor Lake processors and GeForce RTX 4000 graphics

MSI has introduced updated Creator Z, Creator M Prestige, Summit and Modern notebooks. All new features include 13th Gen Intel Core processors that offer up to a 45% overall performance boost with more cores and faster Turbo Boost.

In all of these laptop models, the manufacturer has finalized the design. The company has replaced the keyboard on some models. However, the main changes concern the internal components of new products, and with them a significantly increased performance indicator against the background of the previous generation models.

The Creator series is represented by the Creator Z17 HX Studio and Creator Z16 HX Studio models, as well as the Creator M16. The first two are ready to offer the flagship with 24-core Core i9-13950HX processors with a frequency of up to 5.5 GHz. The Creator M16 can be equipped with a 14-core Core i7-13700H up to 5.0 GHz or a previous generation Alder Lake 10-core Core i7-12650H up to 4.7 GHz.

Creator Z laptops offer GeForce RTX 4000 graphics cards up to the GeForce RTX 4070 model with 8GB of memory and a PCIe 5.0 SSD. Creator M16 laptop models come with GeForce RTX 4050 or GeForce RTX 3050 graphics cards with 6GB of memory. In addition, all laptops offer up to 64 GB of DDR5 RAM. Z series models can install up to two PCIe 4.0 SSDs, M series models come with one drive. The Z series models received displays with a resolution of 2560 × 1600 pixels and a refresh rate of 120 or 165 Hz, while the M series models supported displays with a resolution of 1920 × 1200 pixels and a refresh rate of 144 Hz.

Thunderbolt 4 interfaces, support for wireless standards Wi-Fi 6E and Bluetooth 5.3 are also indicated for laptops from the Z series. M Series models support Wi-Fi 6 and Bluetooth 5.2 wireless standards. All new MSI Creators also received Gigabit network adapters and multiple USB ports.

The MSI Summit notebook series is represented by four updated models: Summit E16 Flip Evo, Summit E16 Flip, Summit E14 Flip Evo and Summit E13 Flip Evo. All are equipped with 12-core Core i7-1360P processors with a frequency of up to 5.0 GHz. The lower E14 and E13 models, as well as the Summit E16 Flip Evo, don’t have discrete graphics. The Summit E16 Flip model offers a choice of GeForce RTX 4060 with 8GB of memory or RTX 4050 with 6GB of memory.

The Summit E13 Flip Evo, Summit E14 Flip Evo and Summit E16 Flip offer up to 32GB of onboard dual-channel LPDDR5 RAM. The Summit E16 Flip Evo model received 16GB of dual-channel LPDDR5 RAM. All updated Summit laptops support PCIe 4.0 SSDs. The innovations are equipped with touchscreens with resolutions from 1920 × 1200 to 2880 × 1800 pixels with support for the MSI Pen 2 electronic pen input. The latter corresponds to the latest MPP 2.6 standard, can recognize 4096 pressure levels and has haptic feedback. In addition, the Summit series laptops are equipped with Thunderbolt 4 (USB Type-C) interfaces and support for the wireless standards Wi-Fi 6E and Bluetooth 5.3.

MSI Prestige laptops use two types of Raptor Lake processors. The Prestige 16 Studio, Prestige 16 Evo and Prestige 14 Evo models are equipped with a 14-core Core i7-13700H with up to 5.0 GHz. The Prestige 13 Evo model received a 12-core Core i7-1360P with a frequency of up to 5.0 GHz. These laptop models received 16GB of onboard dual-channel LPDDR5 storage and can use PCIe 4.0 SSDs. The manufacturer points out that the Prestige 13 Evo is the lightest laptop model in its range. The weight of the device is only 990 grams.

The Prestige 16 Studio model offers GeForce RTX 4060 and GeForce RTX 4050 discrete graphics cards. The rest of the Prestige models are limited to CPU-integrated Intel Iris Xe graphics. The Prestige 16 Studio and Prestige 16 Studio Evo models are equipped with displays with a resolution of 2560 × 1600 and refresh rates of 120 or 165 Hz. These screens cover 100% of the DCI-P3 color space. The Prestige 16 Studio has a DisplayHDR 1000 certified display and a mini LED backlight.

Notebooks Prestige 14 Evo and Prestige 13 Evo received screens with a resolution of 1920 × 1200 pixels, brightness of 300 and 400 cd/m2 and with 100% coverage of the sRGB color space. All updated Prestige laptops come with support for two Thunderbolt 4 ports, as well as Wi-Fi 6E and Bluetooth 5.3 wireless data transfer standards.

The Modern 15 and Modern 14 models are based on energy-saving Raptor Lake-U processors up to the 10-core Core i7-1355U with up to 5.0 GHz. New items offer up to 16GB of onboard dual-channel DDR4-3200 memory, PCIe 4.0 solid-state drives, and are equipped with screens that support a resolution of 1920 × 1080 pixels. These laptops are not equipped with discrete graphics cards.

The features of these models also include support for Wi-Fi 6 and Bluetooth 5.2, USB 3.2 Gen2 Type-C, USB 3.2 Gen2 Type-A, two USB 2.0 Type-A and one HDMI.
