MSI recommends GeForce RTX 3090 Ti SUPRIM X 1000W power supply

The flagship graphics accelerator MSI GeForce RTX 3090 Ti SUPRIM X requires a power supply of at least 1000W in the PC. At least, such information is indicated in the technical specifications of the novelty, pre-lit on the Internet.

The specifications show that the maximum power consumption of the graphics card is 480 W, which is 30 W higher than the reference value for this model. It is also once again confirmed that the new product will be equipped with GDDR6X memory with an effective frequency of 21 GHz and a 384-bit bus.

For the graphics processor of the MSI GeForce RTX 3090 Ti SUPRIM X graphics card, a frequency of up to 1900 MHz is declared in extreme mode, the activation of which requires the installation of the proprietary application MSI Control Center. Without them, the chip operates at up to 1880 MHz. The accelerator is equipped with three 8-pin connectors for additional power supply.

According to previous rumours, the GeForce RTX 3090 Ti will go on sale on January 27th. NVIDIA itself has not yet confirmed this information. She promised not to share new details about the new product until the current month. There were later rumors that the map’s release was pushed back to a later date, possibly February. The graphics card reportedly showed some hardware and software issues, so NVIDIA reportedly asked manufacturers to temporarily suspend the release of new items.
