The Sword 15 and Katana GF66 models are equipped with 15.6-inch screens with a resolution of 1920 × 1080 pixels. In the first case the screen has a frequency of 240 Hz, in the second case matrices with a frequency of 144 and 240 Hz are available. The Katana GF76 model, on the other hand, is equipped with a 17.3-inch screen, also with a resolution of 1920 × 1080 pixels and a frequency of 144 Hz.

The new MSI Sword and Katana are based on Intel Core processors of the 12th generation (Alder Lake) up to the advanced Core i7-12700H. NVIDIA solutions up to the newly introduced mobile GeForce RTX 3070 Ti with 8 GB of GDDR6 memory act as graphics accelerators. The devices use an improved version of the Cooler Boost 5 cooling system. Notebooks have up to 64 GB DDR4-3200 RAM and are equipped with solid state drives for data storage.

Note the presence of three USB 3.2 Gen1 ports (one Type-C and two Type-A), a USB 2.0 port, an HDMI video out, and a Gigabit network port. Supported wireless interfaces Wi-Fi 6 and Bluetooth 5.2. A 53.5 Wh battery is responsible for the power supply in all new MSI Sword and Katana products. We also note support for powerful charging – up to 180 or 240 W.
