MSI introduces MAG X670E Tomahawk WIFI board for Ryzen 7000 and Ryzen 7000X3D

MSI has officially launched the MAG X670E Tomahawk WIFI motherboard for AMD Ryzen 7000 and Ryzen 7000X3D processors. The novelty of the ATX format was previously mentioned in leaks.

The board uses an eight-layer textolite and is equipped with a 17-phase power supply subsystem built on the 14+2+1 scheme. It uses current phases rated for 80A current. It also indicates the presence of two 8-pin EPS connectors for powering the processor.

Support for RAM with speeds up to 6600+ MHz is announced for new items. The latter is achieved by supporting AMD EXPO RAM overclocking profiles. The board also features PCIe 5.0 x16 slots, two PCIe 4.0 x16 slots, and one PCIe 3.0 x1 slot. There are also four slots for NVMe drives. Two of them conform to the PCIe 5.0 standard, the other two are PCIe 4.0. Three of the four M.2 connectors are equipped with standard radiators. In addition, the board offers four SATA III connectors.

The equipment of the MSI MAG X670E Tomahawk WIFI board included an HDMI 2.1 connector, DisplayPort 1.4, two USB Type-C (one of them Gen2x2), a lot of USB Type-A, a 2.5 Gigabit LAN network connection. New items indicate support for Wi-Fi 6E and Bluetooth 5.3 wireless standards, as well as the presence of an 8-channel audio controller.
