MSI introduces GeForce RTX 4090 and RTX 4080 in Suprim, Suprim Liquid, Gaming Trio and Ventus editions

MSI has unveiled the GeForce RTX 4090, RTX 4080 16GB and RTX 4080 12GB graphics accelerators in its own versions of Suprim, Suprim Liquid, Gaming Trio and Ventus. All novelties are equipped with very large cooling systems. One of the models offers a maintenance-free liquid cooling system.

The manufacturer states that the Suprim series graphics cards use the most advanced air cooling system that the company is ready to offer. It uses new Torx Fan 5.0 fans and huge heat sinks with vaporization chambers with up to 10 heat pipes. The cards offer dual BIOS support with sleep and performance modes.

The GeForce RTX 4090 model in the Suprim version has a thickness of 78 mm. That’s almost four expansion slots in the system unit. The length of the graphics card is 336 mm, and the weight is almost 2.5 kg. Models GeForce RTX 4080 with 16 and 12 GB of memory in this version have a thickness of 3.75 and 3.5 expansion slots, respectively. And the length of the graphics cards is 337 mm.

The Suprim Liquid version includes only the flagship model GeForce RTX 4090. The card is equipped with a maintenance-free liquid cooling system with an external 240mm radiator. The closed circuit of the LSS is cooled by two 120 mm MSI Silent Gale P12 fans. The installed Torx Fan 5.0 fan provides additional cooling for the graphics card components. The graphics card weighs 2.3 kg. The length of the accelerator is 280 mm, the thickness is 43 mm. The dimensions of the LSS radiator are 274 × 121 × 55 mm.

The Gaming Trio GeForce RTX 4090 and RTX 4080 models received updated Tri Frozr 3 cooling systems with Torx Fan 5.0 fans equipped with a locking ring. Radiators of new products have a copper base. The design of graphics cards is reinforced by rear metal plates. Support for a dual BIOS system with rest and gaming mode is announced for new products. The thickness of the older model in this version is 3.75 expansion slots, and the thickness of the GeForce RTX 4080 16GB and RTX 4080 12GB models is 3.25 and 3 slots.

In a simpler version of Ventus, only the GeForce RTX 4080 16GB and RTX 4080 12GB models are presented. The thickness of the first is 3 expansion slots, and the second is 2.5 expansion slots. In both cases, the cards received cooling systems with three Torx Fan 4.0 fans. The design of the accelerators is reinforced with rear metal plates. This is the pick for those who aren’t willing to overpay for additional bells and whistles in the form of RGB lighting.
