MSI introduced the GeForce RTX 4070, RTX 4070 Ti and RTX 4090 graphics cards in the Ventus Essential

MSI has slightly updated its GeForce RTX 4070, RTX 4070 Ti and RTX 4090 Ventus graphics cards with the launch of the Ventus Essential series. The new products basically retain the features and appearance of the regular Ventus models, but have become lighter at the same time. One of the models received a different set of video outputs.

It’s no secret that MSI Ventus series graphics cards are in high demand, primarily due to their attractive prices, which are often close to the recommended prices of NVIDIA or AMD themselves. In terms of the features and efficiency of the cooling systems, these cards are also very similar to the more expensive gaming models, which are one step higher in the hierarchy of MSI products.

The updated models of the GeForce RTX 4070, RTX 4070 Ti and RTX 4090 Ventus series received an E in the name, which stands for Essential. Although at first glance they retained the appearance and technical characteristics of previous models, the cards could receive certain internal changes, writes the VideoCardz portal.

MSI presented a total of six graphics cards GeForce RTX 4070, RTX 4070 Ti and RTX 4090 in the Ventus Essential version:

  • MSI GeForce RTX 4070 12GB Ventus 2X E;
  • MSI GeForce RTX 4070 12GB Ventus 2X E OC;
  • MSI GeForce RTX 4070 Ti 12GB Ventus 3X E1;
  • MSI GeForce RTX 4070 Ti 12GB Ventus 3X E1 OC;
  • MSI GeForce RTX 4090 24GB Ventus 3X E;
  • MSI GeForce RTX 4090 24GB Ventus 3X E OC.

The first two models on the list are characterized by the use of relatively compact cooling systems with two fans. All others are equipped with massive cooling systems with three fans. The factory overclocked RTX 4070 12GB Ventus 2X E OC model reports a GPU frequency of 2520 MHz, which is 1.8% higher than the NVIDIA benchmark. The GPU frequency of the RTX 4070 Ti 12GB Ventus 3X E1 OC model is specified as 2655 MHz, which is 1.7% higher than the reference value. The graphics processor of the RTX 4090 24GB Ventus 3X E OC model, in turn, has a frequency of 2565 MHz, which is 1.8% higher than the benchmark.

The most notable design change is only seen on the RTX 4090 Ventus 3X E models. While the original Ventus variants come with three DisplayPort video outputs and one HDMI, the updated RTX 4090 Ventus 3X E models received two DisplayPort and HDMI ports.
