Laura Chambers will serve as CEO of Mozilla Corporation until at least the end of this year. She has served on the corporation’s board of directors for the past three years – Chambers has also worked at Airbnb, PayPal, eBay and other technology companies. She currently also serves as CEO of Willow Innovations.

Baker and Chambers will work closely together through the end of February to ensure Mozilla has a smooth transition to new leadership. The new CEO is tasked with two tasks: strategic planning for the further development of the company, as well as redoubling efforts in the development of key products such as Firefox, and the release of new ones.

In the meantime, Baker will focus on strengthening Mozilla’s public image with an emphasis on open source and community engagement, consolidating the company’s divisions “to advance our policies and achieve community goals”.
