This year, Motorola is expected to release a new model of the RAZR smartphone family, which will be the successor to the Motorola RAZR 5G. It’s entirely possible that the announcement of the novelty won’t be long in coming, as authoritative network source Evan Blass, aka @evleaks, has posted a few “live” photos of the novelty. Apparently the new model is already being tested.

Recall that Chen Jin, general manager of Lenovo Mobile Business Group, said late last year that the company is already preparing to release a new RAZR model that will replace the RAZR 5G. The upcoming clamshell smartphone, tentatively named RAZR 3 (codenamed Maven), has received an updated rear camera with a 50 MP primary sensor with f/1.8 aperture and a 13 MP sensor for macro and ultra wide-angle shooting.

Judging by the photo, the new model does not have a protrusion in the lower part of the body, which is present on its predecessors, and when folded has a square shape. The blogger noted that the novelty’s fingerprint sensor has been moved to the power button, which appears to be on the side of the case. The 2019 RAZR model has a fingerprint sensor in the front part – on the bar, while the 2020 RAZR 5G has it on the back.

Blass also revealed that the RAZR 3 features an internal flexible FHD+ display and a 32-megapixel selfie camera. Motorola is rumored to be releasing a standard version of the RAZR 3 with a Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 System-on-a-Chip (SoC) and a version of the RAZR 3 Plus with a more powerful chip. It is also assumed the presence of up to 12 GB of RAM and a flash drive with a capacity of up to 512 GB.
