Valve has announced that the portable game console Steam Deck is playable already in more than 8000 games from the Steam library, according to OC3D. We are talking about games that have been tested for compatibility with the game console – in reality there are more compatible games.

Of the total number of games, 2988 received the status of “verified”, the remaining 5032 have the status of “playable”. In total, this is 8020 games, which is more than previously released for the same Sony PlayStation 3 (2561 games) and PlayStation 4 (3282 games).
Atomic Heart, Cyberpunk 2077, Darkest Dungeon, Octopath Traveler II, and Resident Evil 3 were some of the latest games optimized for launch on Steam Deck. Valve also released statistics on the most popular games in February. The list includes Hogwarts Legacy, Elden Ring, Red Dead Redemption 2, The Witcher 3: The Wild Hunt, Persona 5 Royal, and Marvel’s Midnight Suns.
It should be added that 8020 supported games is not a complete list of projects available on the Steam deck. We are only talking about games from the Steam library. At the same time, the console allows you to run many more games through emulation applications, as well as projects from other online platforms such as Epic Games Store, GOG, Ubisoft Connect and EA Origin.
