Monster Hunter Rise overtook God of War in terms of concurrent player count on Steam, but lagged behind World

Action RPG action Monster Hunter Rise about hunting monsters last Wednesday, January 12 debuted on PC. As it turned out, the game was very popular among Steam users.

According to official steam statistics (and data SteamDB), last Sunday January 16th, the Steam version of Monster Hunter Rise recorded 134,262 concurrent players.

The value achieved is not a record for the franchise. The previous main game of the series, Monster Hunter: World, is reached once 334 thousand And here is a new port of God of War with his 73 thousand left behind.

Monster Hunter Rise receives mostly positive reviews on Steam. Out of the 9,000 user reviews, over 84% are positive (just over 7.5,000).

Monster Hunter Rise originally released on the Nintendo Switch in March 2021. This summer, the game will receive a major Sunbreak expansion, which will be discussed in more detail in the spring.
