Elden Ring is set in the Interearth, from almost every corner you can see the Earth Tree – a huge glowing tree that acts as a symbol for one of the most important concepts in the game (we don’t need spoilers).

Modder K4richard felt that the Earth Tree played an important role not only in the mythology of Elden Ring, but also in achieving the desired framerate: the closer the enthusiast got to it, the more challenging the game became.

In this regard, K4richard decided to “cut” the Earth Tree in Elden Ring – the Remove Earth Tree (FPS BOOST) mod removes the majestic wonder of nature in the game, which helps increase performance.

“The root of the problem was clearly the Earth Tree and a bunch of particle effects around it. After removing the tree and a few particles, I was able to get 30 fps on a weak PC. Up to 15 frames more on the GT 1030! This mod literally reduces the game’s requirements to the graphics card”— told K4richard reporters PC Gamer.

To the modifications You will need the Mod Engine 2 utility. Throw the K4richard files into the folder Mod engine 2, you need to launch the game through an offline downloader. Part of the branches of the Earth Tree are hanging in the air even after installing the mod, but the author promises to fix it.

Elden Ring debuted on February 25th on PC (Steam), PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X and S. According to the storyline, players in the role of the “vanished” must reclaim Interearth from six demigods and become the new ruler of Elden .
