Microsoft will end support for the very first Windows 11 in October 2023

Microsoft will end support for Windows 11 version 21H2 on October 10, 2023. This means that this edition of the operating system will no longer receive updates to fix vulnerabilities and add new features. We are talking about the debut version of Windows 11, released in October 2021 in Home, Pro, Pro for Workstations and Pro Education versions.

Anyone using one of these versions should visit Windows Update and install the new version of the operating system, which is available for free. It is worth noting that since the initial release of 22H2, Microsoft has fixed many bugs and added various features.

Microsoft plans to release a major feature update for Windows 11 23H2 later this year. It will receive many changes – from the taskbar to “Explorer”.

It is worth noting that the end of support for Windows 11 21H2 will not affect Windows 10 22H2 users in any way – it will be supported for two more years, but you should not expect any significant changes – the release of feature updates has stopped At least for the home and Pro versions.
