In the near future, users of the Microsoft Teams collaboration service will not be bored in virtual meetings. This week, the software giant unveiled the Games for Work app, which will become part of Teams and give users of the service access to classic Windows games like Klondike Solitaire and Minesweeper.
The developers believe that the mentioned innovation will help employees unite in the team and increase their own efficiency. “Games are a unique way to foster creativity, collaboration, and communication, and we can’t wait to see how the Games for Windows app in Microsoft Teams improves productivity and strengthens connections in the workplace.”said a Microsoft spokesman.
According to the available data, all games available in Teams do not contain advertising content, and from 2 to 250 people can interact with them. With Minesweeper, for example, users can not only play alone, but also watch others doing it or suggest further steps. Other games offer similar features, including cooperative play and the ability to compete against each other.
The Games for Windows app will soon be available to all Teams users on Education and Enterprise plans. The developers plan to expand the list of games available in the application in 2023.
