The new product is optimized for fast work on all Android devices, including devices with 1GB RAM. Because the software product is a light version of the standard Outlook client for Android, it uses fewer device resources and consumes less energy. Working in cellular networks of different generations, including 3G and 2G, is also supported.

Outlook Lite supports, Hotmail, Live, MSN, Microsoft 365, and Microsoft Exchange Online accounts. According to reports, Outlook Lite was originally available for users in Argentina, Brazil, Chile, Colombia, Ecuador, India, Mexico, Peru, Saudi Arabia, South Africa, Taiwan, Thailand, Turkey and Venezuela.
