Metroid Dread’s Next Game To Become A Fantasy Third-Person Action RPG

Digital Bros Publishing House, which owns 505 Games, shared the details a deal with MercurySteam Entertainment (Metroid Dread, Castlevania: Lords of Shadow dilogy), which was mentioned in the company’s May report.

As a reminder, MercurySteam Entertainment has agreed with Digital Bros to release, under the auspices of 505 Games, a game that is not associated with existing franchises on PC and unnamed consoles.

As it became known, the development and publication of the ambitious project MercurySteam and 505 Games will be joint efforts. Intellectual property rights are equally divided between Digital Bros and MercurySteam.

As for the game itself, it is codenamed Project Iron. The project is a third-person action role-playing game set in a dark fantasy setting. Target platforms remained unchanged.

Digital Bros assures that the upcoming development of MercurySteam will become “High quality, exciting and fun”… Digital Bros’ initial investment in Project Iron was € 27 million.
