John Pinette took over the position of Vice President of Global Communications in April 2019. Before joining Meta (then Facebook), he held a similar position for 5 years at Gates Ventures, the private office and innovation lab of former Microsoft CEO Bill Gates. Previously, he was head of the Asia-Pacific communications department at Google. He also held senior positions in product and corporate communications at Microsoft. Pinette’s new job has not yet been announced.
