Japanese studio Kojima Productions and game designer Hideo Kojima not only brought a fresh trailer for Death Stranding 2: On the Beach to State of Play, but also Announcing a completely new game.
The project, created in collaboration with Sony Interactive Entertainment (SIE), is positioned as “Next generation spy thriller” in the original universe. The code name of the action is Physint.
Apparently, it is the sequel to the spy action film series “Metal Gear Solid” created by Kojima. The game designer’s latest game in this genre remains Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain.
In the Physint announcement video, PlayStation Studios boss Hermen Hulst said he encouraged Kojima to reinvent the spy-action genre “long years”and the moment has finally come.
What’s popular is the use of advanced technologies, a star cast, almost photorealistic graphics and a new look at the interactive environment. Significantly, not a single image of Physint was shown.
According to Kojima, Physint will be the culmination of his nearly 40-year career as a developer and will blur the line between games and films. According to the video, the film company Columbia Pictures is involved in the project.
Release dates and platforms for Physint have not yet been announced, but it is known that production will begin after work on Death Stranding 2: On the Beach is completed. At the same time, Kojima Productions is also working on an OD horror game for Xbox.
