MediaTek has expanded its mobile processor portfolio with the announcement of the Dimensity 920 and Dimensity 810 products for mid-range smartphones with 5G mobile connectivity.
Both chips contain eight processing cores. At the same time, the Dimensity 920 model uses a bundle of Arm Cortex-A78 and Arm Cortex-A55 with clock speeds up to 2.5 and 2.1 GHz, respectively. The Dimensity 810 version received Arm Cortex-A55 and Arm Cortex-A76 cores with a maximum clock speed of 2.4 GHz.
The older of the two processors carries the Arm Mali-G68 MC4 graphics accelerator on board. Supports cameras with a resolution of up to 108 million pixels, Wi-Fi 6 (802.11a / b / g / n / ac / ax) wireless communication and Bluetooth 5.2. LPDDR4x and LPDDR5 RAM chips, as well as UFS 2.1 and UFS 3.1 flash drives, can be used.
The Dimensity 810 solution contains the Arm Mali-G57 MC2 graphics accelerator. Supported 64MP cameras, wireless Wi-Fi 5 (802.11a / b / g / n / ac) and Bluetooth 5.1. The platform allows you to use LPDDR4x RAM and UFS 2.2 flash drives.
Smartphones based on the new processors can be equipped with a display with a resolution of up to 2520 × 1080 pixels and a refresh rate of up to 120 Hz.
