May release eludes Atlas Fallen – new game from creators of Lords of the Fallen and The Surge postponed to August

March was a busy month for Atlas Fallen, an open world fantasy RPG from Deck13 (Lords of the Fallen, The Surge Dilogy) and Focus Entertainment from Germany. At the beginning of the month the game received a release date, in the middle – a gameplay trailer and press impressions, and at the end – another release date.

Keep in mind that until recently the release was expected for May 16th, but with today’s announcement the premiere has been pushed back to August 10th. The delay would thus be just under three months from the original release date. The developers needed additional time for the release “best version” Atlas fallen.

According to Focus Entertainment, the reaction to Atlas’ personal acquaintance was falling from critics and players at PAX East 2023 “very positive”. However, the previewers warned of performance and stability issues in the tested build.

“We apologize for the bad news. We’ll be back in early summer with updates to the game, including new gameplay footage and a first look at seamless co-op. We can’t wait to bring you a fantastic experience in the desert lands of the Atlas next summer.”say the authors.

Atlas Fallen is created for PC (Steam), PS5, Xbox Series X and S. Players must glide through the desert, explore ancient ruins, uncover the mysteries of a fallen society, and battle legendary creatures. What the project looks like in action was shown on a recent episode of the show Deck13 Inside (attached below).
