MaxSun has released the GeForce RTX 4070 MGG OC with five fans

MaxSun introduced the GeForce RTX 4070 MMG OC graphics card. A key feature of the MMG (Mega Gamer) series graphics cards is the cooling system, which includes five fans. Previously, the manufacturer released GeForce RTX 4090, RTX 4080 and RTX 4070 Ti in the same design. Apparently the GeForce RTX 4070 model will be the last model in this series.

The three main fans in the MaxSun GeForce RTX 4070 MGG OC cooling system have different sizes. The diameter of the side ones is 110 mm and the middle one is 100 mm.

Two additional compact fans are installed on top of the graphics card and are designed to dissipate heat from the motherboard to the side wall of the PC case. This design decision is intended to limit the amount of hot air delivered to the motherboard and components such as M.2 drives, which are typically located near the graphics accelerator. However, reviews from specialized tech bloggers like GamersNexus show that these fans have virtually no use.

The cooling system of the MaxSun GeForce RTX 4070 MGG OC also includes a large cooler with a huge heat dissipation surface. The cooler is connected to nine heat-conducting tubes and an evaporation chamber. The latter solution is usually used more often in cooling systems of older graphics card models. In this case, the MaxSun GeForce RTX 4070 MGG OC is based on an RTX 4070 Ti board, which has a slightly higher power consumption. And the use of such a cooling system on a graphics card with a TDP of only 215 W, which is only 15 W higher than the reference value of the RTX 4070, seems excessive. Although the card has a GPU factory overclocked to 2580 MHz.

The new product also features an improved VRM power supply subsystem, an all-metal cooling system housing and a removable RGB panel.

The thickness of the MaxSun GeForce RTX 4070 MGG OC is three expansion slots. The card is equipped with a 12+4-pin power connector. The dimensions of the new product are 337 × 137 × 66 mm.

The graphics card is already commercially available in China. Prices range from 4,999 to 5,399 yuan ($700-750), depending on the retailer. This means the cost is at least 4% higher than recommended.
