Paradox Interactive chief Fredrik Wester in an interview with the Swedish news agency Nyhetsbyran Direkt commented on the situation around Vampire: The Masquerade – Bloodlines 2.
Recall that the release of Vampire: The Masquerade – Bloodlines 2 was expected in 2021, but due to the removal of the developer studio – Hardsuit Labs – the game was postponed indefinitely.
According to Vester, Paradox Interactive considered discontinuing development of Vampire: The Masquerade – Bloodlines 2 as a result of the severance of relations with Hardsuit Labs, but found a good reason not to close the project.
“We were ready to stop production, but we got a convincing enough pitch (demo – approx.) To continue. We really hope that the game will turn out good and meet the expectations of gamers “– Wester declared.
Which studio is now involved in Vampire: The Masquerade – Bloodlines 2 is not known for certain, but, according to Vester, we are talking about “A highly respected and talented developer”, which has already released several games.
Vester also added that most of Hardsuit Labs’ developments can be used – the project has not been re-done. However, before 2023, the release, according to the head, should not be expected.
Vampire: The Masquerade – Bloodlines 2 announced for PC (Steam, GOG, Epic Games Store), PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X and S. In anticipation of the postponement of the game, pre-orders were even opened.
