Logitech has introduced a multifunctional docking station Logi Dock Flex for companies. The novelty is similar to the Amazon Echo Show smart display and is equipped with an 8-inch touchscreen. The novelty is primarily intended for offices in which the employees do not have their own workplace but use the currently available one (hot desking). Logitech’s solution allows employees to book rooms or desks via Zoom, Microsoft Teams or Logitech’s new desk booking service.

When the user reserves a seat, the Logi Dock Flex screen shows who has occupied it. The station will help employees in companies with a hybrid work model better navigate when they can come into the office and work and avoid situations where all PCs are busy. This reduces the number of computers for the employer.
In addition, the docking station is equipped with many different connections. There are two USB-C ports and one USB-A on the front of the device. On the back there are two more USB-A ports, a USB-C, a gigabit network adapter and a Kensington lock. The novelty supports the connection of up to two monitors with a resolution of 4K via HDMI and DisplayPort. One of the USB-C ports supports charging a connected device with a power of 100 W. The novelty can also be used to view the calendar, photos and messages related to work.
In the production of the docking station, the company mainly focuses on the business segment. However, regular users can also get Logi Dock Flex for $699. It also comes with a subscription to the Logitech Desk Booking meeting app. The latter costs $49 separately for one device on an annual subscription. The device will go on sale in autumn 2023. Logitech Desk Booking is available now, with a premium version coming out on July 1, 2024. Until then, the service is available for free as part of the beta test.
