At the end of this month, the annual Mobile World Congress 2024 exhibition will take place in Barcelona, where electronics manufacturers from around the world will present their new products. One of the regular participants of the event is Lenovo. This year, the Chinese company will show several devices, one of which is expected to be an unusual laptop with two displays, one of which is completely transparent.
With the development of technologies for producing transparent OLED displays, manufacturers have begun to use them more often in their devices. However, having a transparent display still means that the device will cost significantly more than if it had a regular screen. Despite this, Lenovo is apparently ready to introduce a concept laptop with a transparent screen.
Judging by the renders published on the Internet, the device has a frameless design with a completely transparent screen. The bottom cover of the laptop is also partially transparent, but it is not an independent screen, serving as a touch keyboard and touchpad. On one of the side faces there are interfaces for connecting external devices.
At the moment, there is no information regarding the technical characteristics of the new Lenovo laptop. Apparently, the device runs Windows 11 and will be a continuation of the ThinkBook line. Lenovo’s plans for a laptop with a transparent screen remain a mystery. It will probably be possible to learn more about this unusual device at the end of the month as part of the MWC 2024 exhibition, which will be held from February 26 to 29.
