Guerrilla Games is currently working on several projects in the Horizon universe: the VR game Call of the Mountain, the Horizon add-on Forbidden West, and the cooperative multiplayer action game. It was the latter’s prototype video that leaked onto the internet.

The footage of the early version of the game was released today on Reddit. The multiplayer game has a cartoon-like style – unlike those in the main projects, which are almost realistic. Judging by the video and the key illustration of the project, the concept of the action is similar to the Monster Hunter series – players can unite in the fight against robotic monsters. The developers are known to pay a lot of attention to accessibility options, and the game will also introduce several graphic modes and small gameplay improvements.

The same source that spoke about the existence of a multiplayer project in the Horizon universe announced the development of a Horizon Zero Dawn remake for the PlayStation 5.

The latest installment in the series is Horizon Forbidden West, which released for PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5 early last year. It was also announced last fall that a universe-based Netflix series is in the pipeline, with Steve Blackman as showrunner.
