Ubisoft lead screenwriter Pierre Boudreau accidentally posted in his LinkedIn profile Illustration featuring one of the main characters of Assassin’s Creed Codename: Red – an action role-playing game set in the open world of feudal Japan.
According to rumors, the protagonists of Assassin’s Creed Codename: Red are an African refugee who became a samurai and an agile shinobi woman who appeared in the announcement teaser.
Boudreaux posted the illustration featuring Shinobi on his LinkedIn profile. The scriptwriter has already fixed the error, but users were able to save the image (see below). This is the first look at the heroine – the teaser only showed a silhouette.
How conveyed French blogger and data miner j0nathan, now the protagonist is called Naoi/Naoe, but the name may change until release, as was the case with Assassin’s Creed Valhalla (Eivor initially responded to Yor).
According to j0nathan, Naoya’s plot in Codename: Red will be similar to Bayek’s from Assassin’s Creed Origins: a member of the order will kill her father and in an attempt to get revenge, the heroine will join the shinobi or even create a ninja school.
According to insider Tom Henderson, the game’s emphasis is on stealth with the ability to hide bodies, hide in the grass and destroy light sources, as well as destroy environmental elements (e.g. partitions).
Assassin’s Creed Codename: Red is expected to release in late 2024 on PC, PS5, Xbox Series X and S as part of the Infinity Platform. According to Henderson, the official presentation is planned for early 2024.
