Leak: Metacritic has “lit up” an unannounced edition of the Resident Evil 4 remake.

In the 18 years since its original release, the original Resident Evil 4 has managed to acquire many editions for various platforms, and the remake, released less than a year ago, seems to be just getting ready to release a new version.

As one forum user noted: ResetEra under the pseudonym Vito recently appeared on the review aggregator website Metacritic Page the yet to be announced edition of the Resident Evil 4 remake.

According to Metacritic, Resident Evil 4: Gold Edition, the Gold Edition of the remake, is being prepared for release. The release is announced for February 9, 2024 (that’s Friday), at least for PS4 and PS5.

Metacritic doesn’t specify what exactly is included in Resident Evil 4: Gold Edition, but it’s not hard to guess what the edition will include: in September, the remake received the Separate Ways add-on, which will certainly be included in the package .

Let’s remember that Resident Evil Village and Resident Evil 7 also received gold editions, which also included paid add-ons released for them. History will likely repeat itself with the new Resident Evil 4.

It can be assumed that the presentation of Resident Evil 4: Gold Edition will not be long in coming. On the morning of December 8th, the Game Awards 2023 ceremony will take place, where, in addition to honoring the best games of 2023, numerous announcements are expected.

The remake of Resident Evil 4 was released on March 24th on PC (Steam), PS4, PS5, Xbox Series X and S and will receive a VR mode on December 8th, but only for PS VR2. At the 2023 Game Awards, the remake will compete for three awards, including Game of the Year.
