The developers at Larian Studios still added a new way to recruit the dark elf Mintara to the fantasy role-playing game Baldur’s Gate 3, but the good news for fans was lost long list of changes fifth major patch.
Before the release of the fifth patch, the official way (the unofficial way involved turning an elf into a sheep) to recruit Mintara to the force was to sentence an entire camp of innocent Tieflings to death, but many were with this option unsatisfied.
The fifth patch adds a new method: if Mintara is not killed but stunned when eliminating the goblin leaders (you have to switch to non-lethal attacks), she will subsequently appear in the Moon Towers in the second act.
This way, players don’t have to side with Mintara and cause a massacre in the Emerald Grove. Druid Halsin now also speaks out about resolving the conflict without killing all the goblin leaders.
Players have already tested the new method of recruiting Mintara confirmed his performance. The only limitation is that you must be careful before stunning the elf temporarily hostilethat is, do not attack them through dialogue.
In addition to a new way to recruit Mintara, the fifth patch for Baldur’s Gate 3 brought a playable epilogue with 3,589 lines of dialogue, two additional game modes, numerous performance improvements and more.
Baldur’s Gate 3 is already available on PC and macOS on Steam and GOG as well as on PS5. The release on Xbox Series X and S is expected in December. Since its release in August, more than 1.3 million people have played the game.
