Hideo Kojima’s reimagining of the timeless classic is oddly titled Metal Gear Solid Δ: Snake Eater (Δ stands for “Delta”). The release has only been confirmed for PS5. There are no release dates.

The PlayStation Showcase featured a two-minute teaser trailer featuring ants, parrots, alligators, giant snakes, the protagonist Snake hiding between tree trunks, and a classic musical accompaniment.

Along with Metal Gear Solid Δ: Snake Eater, Metal Gear Solid: Master Collection Vol. 1, which includes the first three games in the series. So far, only PS5 has been mentioned as a platform. Release is expected next fall.

As the title suggests, Master Collection Vol. 1 will not be the last collection of remasters for the series. Volume 2 is rumored to include Metal Gear Rising: Revengeance, Peace Walker, and other offshoots like Portable Ops.
