Kioxia BG6 drives do not have DRAM cache but support Host Memory Buffer (HMB) technology. The series is represented by SSD models with a capacity of 256 and 512 GB, as well as 1 and 2 TB.
Sequential read speeds of up to 6000 MB/s and sequential writes of up to 5300 MB/s as well as random read and write performance of up to 850,000 and 900,000 IOPS are specified for new products.
In addition, the BG6 series drives offer support for advanced security features such as TCG Opal and TCG Pyrite, as well as end-to-end security.
Samples of the Kioxia BG6 drives will be shipped to the company’s partners in the second half of this year.
