Kaspersky Lab brings KasperskyOS solutions to the international market for the first time

Kaspersky Lab pioneered the international market with solutions based on the cyber-immune operating system KasperskyOS, designed for critical industrial systems. Business Development Director of KasperskyOS Andrey Suvorov informed Vedomosti reports that two companies from the UAE have been testing solutions since the beginning of February.

Suvorov also said that the company is looking for partners to implement solutions based on KasperskyOS in the META region.* (Middle East, Turkey, Africa) and noted that significant progress has been made in the Persian Gulf countries, particularly in the United Arab Emirates.

Since February, closed pilot tests of gateways for the Industrial Internet of Things (IIoT) have been carried out here with the participation of two local companies. We are talking about two types of gateways available in the company’s portfolio, developed jointly with its subsidiary NPO Adaptive Industrial Technologies (Aprotech).

Gateways for the IoT are used to combine multiple sensors and smart devices into a single system for the purpose of aggregating data and controlling and managing their operations. “By connecting IoT devices to cloud platforms, you can build end-to-end digital services that allow you to better analyze data and monitor device operations and status.” — reported in Kaspersky Lab.

Vitaly Gromadin, asset manager at BCS World of Investments, believes Kaspersky Lab’s most likely partner in the UAE could be the state-owned Abu Dhabi National Oil Company, which controls more than 95% of the country’s oil reserves and brings the state about 30% of the oil gross income.
