British company Frontier Developments published a report with interim results of their activities, as well as information on the sale of current games. According to the document, Jurassic World Evolution 2’s economic strategy sold 1 million copies in two months (released November 9, 2021) after it was released. We’re only talking about the basic version of the project, without the DLC.
The latest report includes information on the Elite: Dangerous space simulator, which turned out to be not the best for the past year due to the problematic launch of the Odyssey add-on. The company intends to restore fan confidence by releasing updates with technical changes and new content.
Under the control of Frontier Foundry, a publishing label affiliated with Frontier Developments, four games are expected to be released in 2022, including FAR: Changing Tides (recently announced) and Warhammer 40,000: Chaos Gate – Daemonhunters.
Frontier Developments discussed plans to release a Formula 1 business simulator and expressed the hope that the Jurassic World: Domination premiere this summer will have a positive impact on sales of Jurassic World Evolution 2.
Other data from the Frontier Developments report:
- Real-time strategy based on Warhammer Age of Sigmar won’t be released until FY2024 (starts April 2023);
- the company’s annual revenue rose 33% to $ 124 million;
- Operating income exceeded $ 27 million.
Jurassic World Evolution 2 is available for PC (Steam, Epic Games Store), PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X and S.
